Message sent by EasyJet to a Swiss passenger
Israeli authorities sent hundreds of names to airline companies telling them to deny travel to individuals on the list. Hundreds of people on the list who had booked flights were sent letters by airline companies cancelling their reservations based on a request from the Israeli authorities.

Dear M.
We regret to inform you that that Israel Immigration Authorities have advised us that you will be refused entry to Israel and as such your reservation on easyJet flight 1525 to Tel Aviv on 08/07/2011 has been cancelled. Please do not go to the airport as the Israeli Immigration Authorities have instructed us to refuse you carriage.
As we are acting under instruction from the Israel Authorities we will not be offering a refund for this flight, This is set out in our terms of conditions of carriage Article 8.1(b) which states :
"Right to refuse carriage
(b) such action is necessary in order to comply with any applicable laws, regulations or orders of any state or country to be flown from, into or over including laws or regulations relating to Advanced Passenger Information requirements"
We recognise the inconvenience that this may have caused you and as a gesture of goodwill we would like to offer you a travel voucher for up to the value of the fare you paid for the flight. This voucher will be valid for 6 months and can be used against future travel with easyJet. In order to have the travel voucher issued please reply to this email confirming you are acting on behalf of the all the passengers on the booking.
If you require further information relating to the refusal of travel may we suggest that you make contact with the Israeli Embassy in Bern.
